古園石仏大日如来像に代表される国宝臼杵石仏（磨崖仏）

イベント情報
7月：蓮まつり
7月「石仏の里 蓮まつり」が国宝臼杵石仏にて開催されます。朝がゆ、朝ヨガ、朝ライブ等など期間中、多彩なイベントが開催されます。
8月末：臼杵石仏火まつり
豊作祈願と石仏の供養、虫追い行事が結びついたと伝えられ、石仏群を中心にかがり火や約1000本のたいまつが並べられる幻想的なお祭りです。
大晦日：年越しイベント
大晦日の夜から元日にかけて、年越しイベントがおこなわれます。火まつりの時と同様、参道や石仏前は、松明やかがり火で照らされます。
